CHANGE Lab Timothy Project Fundraiser

Who We Are:

The CHANGE Lab (Challenging Health inequity in Adolescents & Nurturing Global Empowerment), led by Dr. Idia Thurston, is a Clinical Psychology lab at Texas A&M University. Our lab is guided by the vision of creating a world with equitable health for all. In line with our vision, the primary objectives of our lab are to examine health inequities among minoritized populations across intersectional identities, with a particular focus on youth and families.

Our goals are to engage with community partners in order to reach and serve diverse populations who have been underrepresented in research and treatment, including racial and ethnic minorities, immigrants, sexual minorities, women, and those with limited access to resources and mental health services.

Why We Support the Timothy Project

We strive to connect with and uplift organizations embedded in our community. We strongly resonate with the Timothy Project’s vision to inspire, elevate, and build resilience among diverse youth. The holiday season is a particularly stressful time for many families, and the pandemic has only exacerbated these challenges.

When we learned that the Timothy Project was creating care packages for children this holiday season, full of hygiene necessities and school supplies, we were excited to help promote this important cause.
