Our Story
Timothy Project:
The Timothy Project: YMY, Inc. in Houston, Texas is a youth mentoring program for ages 8-11 and 12-18. It is an excellent program in that it offers youth, ages 14 and up, an opportunity to train as lead mentors and share their talents and skills with other youth (with adult supervision) in Activities That Teach.
The Timothy Project: YMY, Inc. meets on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Thursday of each month. Using group discussion, teaching activities and field trips, our students are heavily engaged in developing a godly character, proper etiquette in a social setting, and building self-esteem.
Through this program, students will achieve practical goals to help them move on to the next level with fewer or no problems with drugs, misfit groups, or delinquency. As a youth peer-mentoring program, we will help students achieve practical goals through individual and group mentoring and counseling sessions for ages 8 to 18.
